Description / Expertise
The bronze standing figure of Narcissus on a plinth base is a 19th century Grand Tour souvenir.
The original can be found in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples which houses Greek, Roman and Etruscan antiquities, some from Herculaneum and Pompeii.

An album of 68 photographs (20 x 25 cm) mounted on card. Bound in half black hard grained morocco, 5 raised bands to spine. The Italian National Archaeological Museum was founded in 1822 and holds collections of Greek, Roman, Etruscan and Egyptian Antiquities, with a number of items from the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaeum. Giorgio Sommer an Italian photographer, born in Germany 1834.
